A Native born Hoosier, Luke Buck began his career as a painter in the footsteps of his father, artist Harold Buck.  He has been a professional artist since 1959.  Luke spent many years experimenting with different mediums and techniques in fine art and was exposed to the many facets of art in the commercial art field.  Luke has worked in advertising design and airbrush illustration, as well as operating an art studio, giving painting workshops and seminars.

Since 1981, Luke has devoted all of his efforts to fine arts and is presently working in transparent watercolor and gouache as well as oil and acrylic.  Luke's work in color and composition shows his very contemporary approach to traditional themes.  His delicate line combines with strong free-flowing watercolors and use of negative space in composition to describe his subject, whether it be wildlife or landscape.www.lukebuckart.com
